IRVINE, Calif. (September 23, 2022) – The Sundt Foundation awarded $5,000 to two nonprofits in Orange County during its current giving round. Colette’s Children’s Home and Thomas House Family Shelter both received a grant for $2,500.
“Both organizations care about improving the community, and we are happy to help in that mission,” said Rachel Perez, Irvine’s Sundt Foundation board member. “Being able to contribute and be involved this way is always rewarding.”
Colette’s Children’s Home helps single women and homeless mothers get back on their feet and regain self-sufficiency. The grant will support its homeless shelter program that provides a recovery system that includes help to reunite mothers with their children and basic needs.
The Thomas House Family Shelter focuses on disadvantaged children who are victims of domestic abuse. The grant will be used to continue the shelter’s mission and provide resources and tools to families and its Youth Development program.
The Sundt Foundation awards quarterly grants to Los Angeles and Orange County-area charities that support disadvantaged children and families. Nonprofits are selected through an application process and reviewed by a committee of local Sundt employee-owners.
