CHARLOTTE, N.C. (June 2, 2022) – The Sundt Foundation awarded $2,000 to the nonprofit Beds for Kids in the Charlotte area during its current giving round.
“It is truly exciting to continue to donate to organizations that help make our communities prosper,” said Andre Castaneda, Charlotte’s Sundt Foundation board member. “There is immense importance in giving back to the community and the Foundation helps us do just that.”
Beds for Kids focuses on supporting families in need by providing direct aid in the form of beds and furniture. The organization’s team delivers the beds and furniture to ensure a better night’s sleep and less mental and physical stress for the family. They plan to purchase mattresses, box springs, pillows, sheets and blankets with the grant.
The Sundt Foundation awards quarterly grants to local Charlotte-area charities that support disadvantaged children and families. Nonprofits are selected through an application process and revised by a committee of local Sundt employee-owners.
