SAN DIEGO (May 27, 2022) – The Sundt Foundation awarded $14,500 to four nonprofits in the San Diego region during its current giving round.

“These organizations truly deserve these grants,” said Ryan Nessen, the Sundt Foundation’s San Diego region board member. “For the Sundt Foundation to support them in their efforts is beyond rewarding for us.”

It’s All About the Kids Foundation and the Ronald McDonald House Charities of San Diego each received a $4,000 grant. It’s All About the Kids Foundation will use the grant to continue its pop-up food distribution through delivery and mini pantries. The organization bridges the weekend food insecurity gap for children in impoverished neighborhoods. The donation to the Ronald McDonald House Charities of San Diego will assist in its “home away from home efforts,” taking care of parents with children who have life-threatening illnesses.

Foundation for Women Warriors received $3,500 to provide women veterans and their children urgent financial relief, help them make successful life transitions, and work as a safety net to prevent them and their children from homelessness. San Diego Rescue Mission, which received $3,000, operates the only nightly drop-in emergency shelter for women and children in San Diego County.

The Sundt Foundation awards quarterly grants to local San Diego-area charities that support disadvantaged children and families. Nonprofits are selected through an application process and reviewed by a committee of local Sundt employee-owners.
