EL PASO, Texas (August 24, 2021) – The Sundt Foundation awarded $9,250 to three local El Paso nonprofits during its current round of giving.
“Being able to give back where we work and live is very important to our local Foundation members,” said Joseph Riccillo, the Sundt Foundation’s Vice President and El Paso Project Director for the company’s building group. “It’s rewarding to see organizations like Make-a-Wish and others make a positive impact on disadvantaged children and adults within the El Paso community.”
The Make-A-Wish Foundation, which received $3,500, provides children who have recently been diagnosed with a critical illness the opportunity to experience a once-in-a-lifetime moment by granting them a “wish.”
The Santa Teresa Charitable Foundation, which received $2,250, supports local schools with a low-income population by donating new uniforms for children who otherwise could not afford them.
Big Brothers Big Sisters of El Paso received $3,500 to support youth living under the poverty line by providing a mentor who assists with educational, emotional and mental support.
The Foundation awards quarterly grants to El Paso-area charities that support disadvantaged children and families. Nonprofits are selected through an application process and reviewed by a committee of local Sundt employee-owners.
