Sundt Foundation Donates to Four San Antonio Charities

SAN ANTONIO (August 23, 2021) – The Sundt Foundation awarded $12,000 in grants to four Bexar County nonprofits during its current grant cycle.

“Funding causes such as The Children’s Shelter helps strengthen our community,” said Chad Yount, the Sundt Foundation’s San Antonio region board member. “It’s fulfilling to assist this organization and others like it, and we hope to build on this quarter’s momentum to make a bigger impact in the future.”

Each of the following organizations received $3,000:

St. Vinny’s Bistro provides meals every day of the year to the multi-agency, multi-service Haven for Hope homeless campus.

Air Force Villages Charitable Foundation raises funds for distribution of financial support to Blue Skies of Texas residents in the charity care assistance program. The assistance program offers San Antonio seniors a safety net to maintain a modest lifestyle in a stable environment.

The Children’s Shelter is an emergency shelter for children who have been removed from their homes due to abuse or neglect. The nonprofit will use its grant to support different family programs that help strengthen the parents’ role and support any experienced trauma.

Acts of Hope Center will use the grant to fund their Voices of Hope program. The program uses instruments and music to assist their development and relieve future stress.

The Sundt Foundation awards quarterly grants to local charities that support disadvantaged children and families. Nonprofits are selected through an application process and reviewed by the local committee of Sundt employee-owners.
