Sundt’s Water Treatment Construction Projects Exceed $1.2 Billion

Sundt performed significant upgrades at the South Tempe Water Treatment Plant in Tempe, Ariz. The project included changing the plant’s programming and control system, replacing and installing 60-, 54- and 48-inch process valves, and installing new, 54-inch plant inlet flow meters.

Sundt is experienced in constructing or installing many of the latest water treatment technologies including membrane, advanced oxidation process, activated carbon filters, ozone treatment, clarifiers, aeration tanks, service pumps, centrifuge dewatering systems and ultraviolet disinfection. Our services include preconstruction management, quality management, safety management, constructability reviews, startup and commissioning and construction coordination. Sundt’s crews are able to self-perform earthwork, yard piping, demolition, concrete, miscellaneous metals, structural steel erection, boilermaker work, process piping and equipment setting.
