Since Sundt believes that our people are the core of what we do, we wanted to get to know our latest addition. We recently spent a little time talking with Ron, and this is what we learned.

What is it about Sundt that has led you to make your career here? Sundt has an excellent reputation in the construction industry. Also the people here have such a high level of integrity and ethics – not to mention they are just generally good folks to be around!

Who has inspired you most? I compliment Dr. Clyde Holland who was as professor and advisor at Northern Arizona University. He exemplified true character as a gentleman, scholar and role model.

What’s your favorite book?  My favorite book is “Into Thin Air” closely followed by “Annapurna” and “No Short Cuts To The Top.” They are all very inspiring examples of team work and risk management!

What’s the best advice you’ve ever received? The answer to a customer is best stated as “yes.” It’s important to remember that customers are both internal and external and we are all customers of each other. While it’s an idea that may sound dated, I believe it still holds true in our people-orientated world of management.

What is your proudest professional achievement to date? Without a doubt it would be becoming an engineer in training and obtaining a professional engineer certification after being out of college for five years.

What is something you do on a daily basis? I give thanks for all that has been provided to me and my family.
