PHOENIX (July 28, 2021) – Construction industry veteran Shad Bowman has been promoted to lead the business development efforts for Sundt Construction’s Industrial Group, a premier builder of critical infrastructure across the United States.
In his new role as the Industrial Group’s vice president and business development manager, Bowman will provide leadership, guidance and supervision to the Group’s business development teams in the fast-growing areas of water, advanced technology, mining, industrial manufacturing and energy sectors.
“Shad will play an important role in the Group’s future success,” said Greg Ayers, senior vice president in Sundt’s Industrial Group. “He has been an excellent asset for our team, and his leadership is key to our continued success as we expand the Group nationwide and into new markets.”
Since joining Sundt in 2018 as a project director, Shad has led successful pursuits totaling over $3 billion in water, wastewater, and reuse, as well as biofuels, semiconductors and other manufacturing projects. Before joining Sundt, Bowman served as associate vice president for business intelligence and strategy for a national engineering firm. His experience also includes roles at various companies in both environmental and general construction.
“Shad’s experience and expertise in developing unique solutions and applying data analytics to both strategic project and business decisions are invaluable to our continued growth,” Ayers added. “He provides a unique point of view to our teams and our clients because of his 25-plus years of experience in the industry and working on engineering, construction, operations, and regulatory sides.”
Bowman earned his bachelor’s degree in physics and environmental biology from Heidelberg College in Ohio. He is active in the water and construction industry, a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers, Water Environment Federation, American Water Resources Association and American Water Works Association.
