Sundt Foundation Donates to San Antonio Charities

SAN ANTONIO (February 12, 2021) – During its current grant cycle, the Sundt Foundation awarded $14,000 in grants to five Bexar County nonprofits.

“Being able to donate $14,000 to local charities in San Antonio is very rewarding,” said Terri Pasley, the Sundt Foundation’s San Antonio region board member. “We’re proud to support these organizations and help them achieve their mission.”

The Sundt Foundation awards quarterly grants to local charities that support disadvantaged children and families. Nonprofits are selected through an application process and reviewed by the local committee of Sundt employee-owners.

Nonprofits receiving grants include:

Big Brothers Big Sisters of San Antonio received $3,000 to support underserved youth by providing a mentor that assists with educational, emotional and mental support.

Boys & Girls Clubs of San Antonio, which received $2,700, provides youth development programs focused on health and life skills, fine and performing arts, character and leadership, education and career, teens, sports and fitness.

ChildSafe, which received $2,650, provides services to children who have been victims of abuse and neglect by offering a trauma-focused care center and partnering with law enforcement, health professionals, child protective services and prosecution.

Habitat for Humanity of San Antonio received $2,650 to build a safe environment for children to go home to so they can thrive in education, health and happiness.

San Antonio Lifetime Recovery, Inc., received $3,000 to continue providing care for any client suffering from addiction, focusing on restoring the individual to a healthy way of living to become productive members of their families and community.
