SACRAMENTO, Calif. (February 10, 2021) – The Sundt Foundation awarded $10,000 in grants to three northern California nonprofits during its most recent quarterly grant cycle.
“The northern California region is grateful to be able to provide relief to so many different organizations,” said Madison Jones, Sundt Foundation’s Northern California board member. “Now more than ever, our communities need extra support as we all navigate through these unprecedented times.”
Nonprofits receiving the grants include:
The Friendship Club, which received $2,000, provides career and food assistance to at-risk youth to reduce the chance of homelessness.
Legendary Vision MK, receiving $4,500, offers community support through teaching life skills and being a positive outlet for youth and community members.
Alchemist CDC, which received $3,500, provides access to healthy foods in under-resourced communities using local farmers’ markets and implementing community-supported public green spaces.
The Sundt Foundation awards quarterly grants to Northern California charities that support disadvantaged children and families. Nonprofits are selected through an application process and reviewed by a committee of local Sundt employee-owners.
