EL PASO, Texas (November 10, 2020) – The Sundt Foundation awarded $9,000 to four local El Paso nonprofits during its fourth quarter round of giving.

The Foundation awards quarterly grants to El Paso-area charities that support disadvantaged children and families. Nonprofits are selected through an application process and reviewed by a committee of local Sundt employee-owners.

“During this critical time of need, we chose organizations that can make a large impact in the community in response to COVID-19,” said Joseph Riccillo, the Sundt Foundation’s Vice President. “It is deeply gratifying to be able to give to those in need in our community, and we were pleased to be able to lend support to these organizations and their missions.”

The Kelly Center for Hunger Relief received $4,000 to assist in their food distribution efforts. Due to COVID-19, Kelly Center serves nearly 16,000 families each month, five times more than 2019.

The Center Against Sexual & Family Violence received $2,000 to continue to provide services to those affected by domestic violence.

Sacred Heart Church, which received $1,500, serves their local community through food services, including preparing to-go family meals and delivering meals to farmworkers and local shelters.

El Paso Children’s Hospital Foundation received $1,500 to ensure that children suffering from brain, skull and spinal cord tumors, as well as epilepsy and intracranial bleeds, can be treated at home.
