Sundt Adds Santillan and Promotes Aguirre in El Paso

EL PASO, Texas (March 13, 2020) – Sundt Construction, Inc. has added Alexi Santillan as a field engineer and promoted Gianna Aguirre to field engineer II in its El Paso office.

“Gianna is extremely deserving of this promotion,” said Joseph Riccillo, Project Director in Sundt’s El Paso office. “She brings a positive attitude to the job site every day and continues to grow with every job she works on. We are also happy to bring Alexi on our team. He brings a great work ethic and will be an asset to our team.”

Santillan had served as an intern with Sundt for the past year while pursuing his bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from the University of Texas at El Paso. He will join Sundt’s Housing

Authority of the City of El Paso (HACEP) projects across El Paso.  Santillan is involved with the Structural Engineering Association of Texas and holds a certificate from the American Concrete Institute and OSHA for silica hazard awareness training.

Aguirre has been with Sundt for two years, serving on Sundt’s Sun Plaza renovation for HACEP. She earned her bachelor’s degree in civil engineering and is currently working towards her master’s degree in civil engineering from the University of Texas at El Paso. Aguirre also holds OSHA 30 and silica hazard awareness certifications.

Over the past 10 years, Sundt has completed over a billion dollars in project work in the El Paso region. Currently the company is working on four projects for HACEP, including the revitalization of the historic Blue Flame building in downtown El Paso. Sundt is also in the process of building Phase 1 of Eastside Regional Park, part of the city’s Quality of Life bond measure. Sundt has offices in El Paso, Fort Worth, Irving and San Antonio and has delivered more than $3 billion dollars of work throughout the Lone Star State.
