Sundt Foundation Donates to El Paso Charities

EL PASO, Texas (August 26, 2019) – The Sundt Foundation awarded $3,500 to Reynolds Home, an organization that supports women and their families in gaining permanent housing in El Paso. The mission of Reynolds Home is to provide shelter, security, and basic services to enable homeless women to become self-sufficient and provide for themselves and their children. El Paso Q3 Donation 2019

“The mission of the Sundt Foundation is to support disadvantaged adults and children.  The Reynolds Home is one of several organizations we support in El Paso for their work serving homeless women and children in our community,” said Joseph Riccillo, the Sundt Foundation’s region board member. “The Reynolds Home brings families in, provides them a warm place to stay, feeds them, gives them a place to lay their heads and provides them with hope during a difficult time. We are proud to support this incredible organization.”

Other second-quarter grants include:

El Pasoans Fighting Hunger Food Bank, which received $1,500, provides food pantries to supplement nutritious meals outside of school hours.

The Center Against Sexual & Family Violence received $1,000 to continue to provide services to those affected by domestic violence.

Guiding Star El Paso received a $1,000 grant to help support their parenting classroom which provides programs to empower women, men, and families.

A $1,500 grant was awarded to the Make-A-Wish Foundation El Paso Region which will support wishes made by children diagnosed with critical illnesses.

Texas Tech University Foundation received $1,000 to support patients being treated in their Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.

The Opportunity Center for the Homeless, receiving $1,500, serves the homeless community by providing a resource center and emergency shelter.

The Junior League of El Paso received $2,000 to partner with the Aliviane Women and Children’s Residential Facility to assist residents on their path to recovery from substance and alcohol abuse.

El Paso Children’s Hospital Foundation received $2,000 to ensure that children suffering from brain, skull and spinal cord tumors as well as epilepsy and intercranial bleeds can now be treated at home.

The El Paso Zoological Society received $3,000 to support low-income schools with field trips to the zoo and classroom instruction with special animal encounters.

University Medical Center Foundation of El Paso, receiving $1,500, provides psychosocial support and short-term assistance for those who lack resources for treatment, prescriptions, and other health needs.

The Sundt Foundation awards grants quarterly to area charities that support disadvantaged children and families. Nonprofits are selected through an application process and reviewed by a committee of Sundt employee-owners.
