Sundt Celebrates Hotel Topping out with Subcontractor Appreciation Luncheon in Sunnyvale

SUNNYVALE, Calif. (March 18, 2019) – Sundt Construction, Inc. (www.sundt.com) recently celebrated the topping out of the Sunnyvale Hilton Garden Inn, located at 767 N. Mathilda Ave.SunnyvaleHiltonToppingOutBBQ

The event celebrated the hard work of the project team. Over 220 subcontractors from the project enjoyed lunch and a short ceremony.

“Sundt’s mission is to be the most skilled builder in America,” said Jason Hughes, Sundt’s project manager. “Skilled building can’t exist without high-performing, safe subcontractor partners.  The event was about our team and their commitment to the successful and timely execution of this project.”

Sundt serves as the general contractor for the six-story, full-service hotel project. The $47.2 million Construction Manager at Risk project includes 238 guestrooms. The hotel is a mixed-occupancy space that includes meeting rooms, bars and luxury lounges, a full service kitchen, dining areas, outdoor patio spaces, a pool and a fitness center. The structure uses solar energy, and the project has a goal of LEED Gold® certification.

Architectural Dimensions is the architect of record for the project, which broke ground in 2017.  The hotel is expected to welcome guests beginning in the fall of 2019.

Sundt has over 70 years of project work throughout the state of California. Recently, the company broke ground on the new Avesta Residences at Dublin and is expected to break ground in the next few months on two additional projects in Northern California.
