Sundt Project Director Chandra Reilly.

Part of Sundt’s group of impressive young talent, Project Director Chandra Reilly is a winner in Building Design+Construction’s 40 Under 40 competition.

Nominees were judged on leadership skills, inventiveness, sustained career progress, people skills, client relations, academic training, dedication, personal integrity, technical skills and community outreach/volunteer work.

“There is something very humbling about receiving recognition like this at a national scale from a well-respected publication,” Chandra said. “It certainly reinforces the responsibility I have to continue pushing myself to do great work and to bring my best self to the job every day. I work with some incredible people who make me look good just by being themselves, and for that I am always grateful.”

Chandra has been with Sundt since 2013 and is responsible for the development and leadership of our hospitality construction work. Her group is working on $250 million in hospitality projects, all of which is new since Chandra took on her current role.

She is an alumna of Arizona State University with a bachelor’s degree in Global Business, a minor in Spanish and certificates in International Marketing and International Finance.

For the past 12 years, Chandra and her husband have supported Sojourner Center, an organization that works to keep women safe and provides them with opportunities to re-start their lives after leaving abusive situations. They make large donations of clothes, toys and children’s items as often as they can, along with annual monetary gifts. They have participated in community projects to fix up the Center’s campus and donated their professional time to help design and construct new facilities.

Chandra also participates in the Sundt Foundation, contributing via weekly paycheck deductions, and through volunteer work. She also takes part in the American Heart Association Heart Walk and Thirst-Aid bottled water drive to help the homeless in Phoenix.

The 40 Under 40 winners are appearing in Building Design+Construction’s October issue. Building Design+Construction is a trade publication and website that serves the needs of the non-residential construction industry.
