Senior VP Moves Up at Arizona State University Alumni Association

Ryan photoSundt Senior Vice President Ryan Abbott is a maroon-and-gold kind of guy. He is now proudly wearing those colors as Chair-Elect of the Arizona State University Alumni Association Board of Directors and National Alumni Council.

Ryan was elected by fellow board members and his term started July 1. He earned a bachelor’s degree in Construction Management in 2001 and an MBA in 2008.

Prior to serving on the ASU Alumni Association Board, Ryan was a member of the Arizona State Young Alumni Council. ASU has more than 400,000 alumni worldwide.

“I knew I needed to be involved with ASU if I was going to make a meaningful contribution to this community,” Ryan said. “I enjoy participating in and supporting ASU in every way I can.”

Ryan began his career at Sundt 15 years ago as a field engineer, working his way through every level of project management. In his present role, he is responsible for the overall performance of building projects, including acquiring and executing work in Arizona, New Mexico and western Texas.

Ryan has played a key role on many notable ASU projects, including Lattie F. Coor Hall, Interdisciplinary Science & Technology Building 4, Biodesign Institute, Downtown Phoenix Sun Devil Fitness Complex and Sun Devil Stadium.
