SAN ANTONIO (DECEMBER 17, 2015) – As part of its effort to help build strong communities, the Sundt Foundation donated more than $11,000 to three nonprofit organizations in Texas this quarter. Employee donations, matched dollar-for-dollar by the company, fund Sundt Foundation grants.

Sundt employees personally visited and presented grants to the charities as part of Sundt’s commitment to improve the communities where it operates. The Sundt Foundation awarded grants to the following nonprofit organizations across Texas:

  •  Ronald McDonald House Charities (San Antonio) received a $2,832 grant that will help the organization continue to support families who must travel outside of their community to provide the proper medical treatment for their children. The Ronald McDonald house serves as a place for families to feel safe and welcome, creating a “home-away-from-home”.
  •  Special Reach Inc. (San Antonio) received a $3,068 grant to support its mission to provide summer enrichment programs and after-school programs where children with special needs can foster independence and gain the skills they need to be healthy and successful. It is a team of highly qualified people that have come together to provide a quality experience for children with special needs.
  •  Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children (Dallas) is a world leader in the treatment of pediatric orthopedic conditions. The $5,900 grant will help fund the continuous innovative research and training that is allowing the hospital to provide extraordinary patient care and tailor treatment to the individual needs of each child and family.

Established in 1999, the Sundt Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization offering financial support to various local organizations with missions to improve the lives of disadvantaged children and adults. The Foundation has donated more than $7 million to various charities.
