NEW_2015 Fun Shoot Check

Sundt’s tradition of raising money and having fun with our clients and sub-contractors continued during a skeet shooting event to support ALS research.

Forty shooters took part during the 14th Annual Mike Gaines Charity Skeet Shooting Event at the Tucson Trap & Skeet Club on Oct. 23. Contributions reached $4,800 and will be made from the Sundt Foundation to the ALS Association.

The winners were Walt Gonzales with Sturgeon Electric (trap & skeet) and Jimmy Still from Progressive Roofing (sporting clays).

The team of Sundt employee-owners working on an infrastructure improvement project at the University of Arizona provided a box of shells for each shooter. Former employee-owners and friends of Mike, John Sundt and Joe Malisewski, also participated. Tempe office employee Anthony Colatorti and Andres Herrera from the Tucson office took part.

Long-time supporters CAID Industries, Concord Construction, D Tellez Masonry, Harris-Consolidated Rebar, Progressive Roofing, Speedie & Associates, Sturgeon Electric and Sun Mechanical sent teams. Roofline Supply & Delivery sponsored a team for the first time.

Since 2001, the Sundt Foundation has championed fundraising efforts in memory of one of our former employee-owners. Mike Gaines was a member of the Sundt family for two decades before losing his battle with ALS, a progressive neurodegenerative disease commonly known as Lou Gehrig’s Disease. Annual events also include golf tournaments in Tucson, Phoenix, San Diego, Sacramento, and San Antonio.
