More than a hundred golfers came out to enjoy a day of fun and beautiful weather while helping raise money to fight amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) at the Mike Gaines Charity Golf Tournament in San Antonio, Texas, earlier this month. Thanks to the great turnout and support of our fantastic sponsors, the Sundt Foundation raised nearly $22,000 for this important cause.

The Mike Gaines Charitable Fundraising Events were created in 2001 to honor longtime Sundt employee Mike Gaines, who died of ALS in 2002. The annual golf tournaments in Tucson, Phoenix, San Diego, Sacramento, and San Antonio, plus a trap shoot in Tucson, raise money for organizations that support research to treat and cure ALS, such as the ALS Association and the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA). To date, the events have raised more than $1.36 million.
