BIG SPRING, Texas (May 8, 2014) – Sundt Construction, Inc. (www.sundt.com) and Price Construction, LTD were selected as the general contractors for the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) Big Spring design-bid-build project along U.S. Highway 87 through Big Spring, Texas.
Groundbreaking for the $45 million transportation project, which includes construction of a new 8.5-mile relief route of U.S. 87 and six bridges in Big Spring, is expected this spring. Construction is scheduled for completion in late 2016.
Recognized nationally as an expert in civil and transportation construction, Sundt has completed many notable projects, including the West Seventh Street Bridge project in Fort Worth, Texas; Loop 375 Transmountain West widening project in El Paso; and State Route 202 Red Mountain widening project in Phoenix, Arizona.
