Sundt Selected for Interstate 10 Improvement Project in El Paso

EL PASO, Texas (May 1, 2014) – The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) selected Sundt Construction, Inc. as the general contractor for the Aesthetic Development, Phase II design-bid-build project along Interstate 10 in El Paso, Texas.

The $7.6 million transportation project, expected to break ground this summer, includes upgrades to hardscape, lighting, landscape and irrigation along a 1.3-mile segment of I-10 that extends from Copia Street to Chelsea Street. Scheduled to take seven months, the project also includes enhancements to bridges, walls and concrete barriers within the stretch of highway.

Sundt is recognized as a national transportation construction expert and has completed many notable heavy civil projects, including the West Seventh Street Bridge project in Fort Worth, Texas; Loop 375 Transmountain West widening project in El Paso; and State Route 202 Red Mountain widening project in Phoenix, Arizona.
