Sundt Foundation Awards $7,700 to Local Nonprofits

SACRAMENTO, Calif. (Sept. 23, 2013) – Sundt Construction, Inc.‘s Sacramento employees have selected three local nonprofit organizations to receive Sundt Foundation grants totaling $7,700 this quarter. The Sundt Foundation was established by Sundt in 1999 to give its employee-owners a means of giving back to their communities. It provides financial support to nonprofit organizations dedicated to improving the lives of disadvantaged children and adults. Most grants are made to organizations in the communities where Sundt has offices and construction projects. The Foundation is funded primarily by contributions from Sundt employees and company matching. To date, the organization has awarded more than $5 million in donations to organizations throughout California, Arizona, Texas and beyond. Here’s a closer look at the Sacramento organizations that recently received funding.

$4,700 Grant Recipient
International Mentors of Peace, Inc. (I AM PEACE) will provide mentor youth programs that offer instructions and tools for conflict resolution, character development, respect and values of service to the community.

$1,500 Grant Recipients (2)
Coaching Corps will use the funds to provide sports-based youth development by qualified coaches to low-income youth.

Love-A-Child Missions will use the funds to provide emergency shelter and recovery for homeless women and children in the Bay Area.
