 |  Press Release

SACRAMENTO, Calif. (July 11, 2013) – Sundt Construction, Inc.’s Sacramento office has received the 2013 Bronze Level Sacramento Region Bicycle-Friendly Business Award from the Sacramento Area Council of Governments for its commitment to promoting bicycling for everyday transportation.

Sundt provides yearly bicycle-safety training, plus bike lockers, locker rooms and showers for its employees who choose to participate in the company’s bicycling program. In celebration of Bike Month in May, a team of Sundt employees collectively rode more than 1,000 miles, which helped reduce traffic congestion, improve air quality and promote a higher quality of life for residents.

“Sundt’s bicycle program is just one way the company maintains its culture of sustainability through green business practices and helping employees living a healthy lifestyle,” said Sundt Vice President Teri Jones. “Sundt stands behind the belief that being a sustainable company is part of being a good corporate citizen, and our bicycle program is just one of the many tools we use to promote healthy living as Sundt builds a culture of wellness.”
