In addition to managing all design and construction activities, Sundt successfully coordinated with multiple agencies, including the Building Department, Capital Improvements Department, Recreation & Community Service Department, and the Moonlight Cultural Foundation.

When the City of Vista needed to replace the aged Moonlight stage house, they selected Sundt to serve as their design-builder.   The result was a new 12,781 sf, state-of-the-art outdoor Amphitheatre featuring 33 operable line sets, a scene shop, green room, rehearsal room, costume and instrument storage areas and a full size orchestra pit with removable cover.

The new Moonlight Amphitheatre is characterized by a cantilevered truss system that provides catwalk access to theatrical lighting and sound equipment.   The project, which also included a new sound and lighting booth, restroom building, ticket booth and numerous handicap accessibility improvements, was completed in nine short months, the exact time between theatre seasons.
