Since 1972, the Associated General Contractors of America Build America Award has been considered the highest honor in the construction industry because winners are selected by a jury of peers. Awards are considered for new and renovation projects and each contractor selected to receive a Build America Award epitomizes excellence within the construction industry.

Sundt won the Grand Award for their safety processes, management involvement and company safety culture.
