Since 1972, the Associated General Contractors of America Build America Award has been considered the highest honor in the construction industry because winners are selected by a jury of peers. Awards are considered for new and renovation projects and each contractor selected to receive a Build America Award epitomizes excellence within the construction industry.

Concrete Masonry Design Merit Award for Education - the Concrete Masonry
Association of California and Nevada recognized Sundt for its work on the Cathedral
Catholic High School project built in San Diego, Calif. 2007 Best Places to Work in the Valley of the Sun Awards -
Sundt was ranked 13 of 30 companies in Phoenix, Ariz., recognized in the Large
Company category. It was the highest ranked general contractor on the list, moving up
two positions from 2006. Intercontinental Hotels Group, 2007 Renovation of the Year- Sundt was
awarded the honor for the Bayside Holiday Inn, San Diego, Calif. 34th Annual Beautification Award, City of Chula Vista - Honorable Mention- Sundt
received an honorable mention for the Mater Dei Catholic High School in Chula Vista, Calif.

of 11 architecture, engineering, contractor, association and developer professionals selected
27 projects as the best of California during the past year. In short, they are the results of
outstanding teams of professionals overcoming daunting challenges to achieve a successful project.

Annual Arizona Masonry Guild Excellence in Masonry Architecture Award - awarded
to Sundt as the General Contractor for the Goodyear Fire Station No. 184, Goodyear, Ariz.
AGC/Willis Construction Safety Excellence - Grand Award - In addition to the
First Place awards, the AGC also presented a "Grand Award", judged against 16 first place winners,
representing the "best of the best" in construction safety excellence. Sundt won the Grand Award
for their safety processes, management involvement and company safety culture.
AGC/Willis Construction Safety Excellence - First Place Award - The awards
program requires finalists to achieve zero work site fatalities and multi– catastrophic injuries,
and examines the contractor's safety program to look for evidence of company management commitment,
active employee participation, safety training, work site hazard identification and control,
and safety program innovation.
2006 R&D Magazine's Laboratory of the Year - The Biodesign Institute at Arizona
State University in Tempe, Ariz., has been named and recognized for the innovative laboratory
design that creates a superior working environment and supports research excellence. The annual
competition includes industrial, government and academic laboratories across the U.S. and abroad. |
