SACRAMENTO SUNDT EMPLOYEES RECEIVE DBIA CERTIFICATION

    Three Sundt Construction, Inc. employees recently received certification as Designated Design-Build Professionals from the Design Build Institute of America (DBIA).  Charles E. Briney, John R. Gordon, and Steven S. Humphreys all received the designation upon passing an exam concentrated on project delivery, general attributes of design-build, project team organization, procurement, estimating and specifying, contracts and legal, project management, and ethics and professionalism.  They join approximately 60 other Sundt employees with DBIA certification.   Briney is Project Director, Gordon is a Preconstruction Project Manager and Humphreys is an Operations Manager.    

    The design-build construction delivery method is an alternative to traditional design-bid-build.  It focuses on the contractor taking responsibility for both the design and construction of a project.  DBIA professionals are trained to deliver a project efficiently, keeping on schedule and maximizing cost effectiveness.
