Sundt has a satellite office in Reno. The company has built a variety of projects in the state of Nevada since the 1970s, including Industrial projects, hospitality facilities, such as Harvey's Resort Hotel and Casino in Stateline and Harrah’s Laughlin, as well as other federal, commercial and education projects. More recently the company has been at work on the University of Nevada, Reno campus, building the William N. Pennington Health Sciences Education Building and completing renovations to the School of Journalism.
With a population of over 211,000, Reno is the largest city in Northern Nevada. It is nestled on the eastern slope of the Sierra Nevada Mountains in an area that provides unlimited indoor and outdoor recreational activities. Spectacular Lake Tahoe and the largest concentration of ski areas and ski facilities in the world are all within a fifty-mile radius.
The City of Reno is host to the Great Reno Balloon Races; the Reno Rodeo, one of the largest rodeos in the west; the month long "Artown" festival in July, and various special events.
