Sundt Welcomes New Estimator to Tempe Office

TEMPE (Aug. 9, 2017) – Vijetha Shetty has joined Sundt Construction, Inc. (www.sundt.com) as an estimator. Her responsibilities are estimating and providing design and engineering assistance for projects during the preconstruction phase. She will focus on industrial projects including water treatment plants, power plants, mining infrastructure projects and manufacturing facilities.Shetty Vijetha 121262

Shetty’s previous project experience as a civil engineer includes the Metro Vancouver Improvements, Kennedale Balancing Reservoir pressure reducing station and the San Jacinto River Authority pipe break. Her work included preparing engineering calculations, participating in project schedules and coordination with other disciplines, preparing engineering studies and reports and providing detailed design and analysis of pipelines.

Shetty is a native of India. She graduated with a bachelors in civil engineering from Gujarat Technological University in India and moved to the United States to pursue her master’s in construction engineering and management from the University of Texas-Arlington.

She is a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers and has volunteered for a variety of industry conferences including ASCE’s Pipeline Conference, the North American Society for Trenchless Technology conference and the Underground Construction Technology Conference.
