Sundt Receives Safety Excellence Award from San Diego AGC

 |  Press Release

SAN DIEGO (Feb. 8, 2017) – The San Diego chapter of the Associated General Contractors awarded Sundt Construction, Inc. (www.sundt.com) the Construction Safety Excellence Award in the Two Million to Four Million Hour Class, Highway Division.

The award includes safety statistics for the entire company and qualifies Sundt to win the Highway Division at the AGC of America National Judging and to compete for the AGC Grand Award, given each year to the nation’s safest construction company. Sundt won the Grand Award in 2006 and 2016, the only general contractor in the nation on record to win twice.

The company maintains an active safety program, “Safety by Choice,” that emphasizes the “why” of safety. The program is designed to engage employees to make safe choices for themselves, family members and coworkers.

“Everything we do is a choice and all choices have consequences for ourselves and others,” said San Diego Area Safety Manager Paul Sprecco. “We are honored to have our company recognized for our commitment to safety and the safe choices our employee-owners make every day.”
