Sundt Promotes Five Team Members, Forms New Position in San Diego

SAN DIEGO, Calif. (March 20, 2013) – Sundt Construction, Inc. recently promoted five team members in its San Diego office, including two project engineers, a project superintendent, a field engineer and a BIM modeler, and created a new small business coordinator position.

Nathan Larsen was promoted from field superintendent to project superintendent for the San Diego International Airport Landside Modifications project. Larsen has been with Sundt for nine years and holds a certification in ICC Commercial Building Inspections Training.

Also part of the San Diego International Airport Landside Modifications project, both Rob Foster and Adam Ballew were promoted to project engineer II. Foster and Ballew previously held project engineer roles on the airport project. Foster earned a Bachelor of Architecture from California Polytechnic State University and is a LEED Accredited Professional as well as an Associate Constructor. Ballew earned a Bachelor of Science in construction engineering technology from Montana State University. He is a qualified Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan Practitioner (SWPPP), LEED Accredited Professional, Designated Design-Build Professional and an Associate Constructor.

Mark Krenn was promoted from field engineer to field engineer II for the San Diego Community College District College, Math and Social Sciences Building project. He graduated from Arizona State University with a Bachelor of Science in construction management. Working from the San Diego Sundt office, Bobby Powell was promoted from modeler to modeler II. Powell has been with Sundt since 2010 and holds an Associate of Science in design and drafting from Total Technical Institute.

DeAnna Andrews has moved into the newly formed position of small business coordinator. Though she is located at the San Diego office, Andrews’ focus will be to achieve Sundt’s corporate goal to utilize more minority, small and disadvantaged businesses throughout California. Andrews graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in liberal studies and completed the construction management certificate program in management practices at San Diego State University. She is also a Certified Professional Constructor with the American Institute of Constructors and has been with Sundt since 1994.
