FORT WORTH, Texas (December 17, 2018) – The Sundt Foundation awarded nearly $5,000 in grants to three North Texas-area nonprofits during its fourth-quarter disbursements. 
“A big part of who Sundt is, as a company, is about giving back to the communities where we live and work,” said Liz Harvey, the Sundt Foundation’s North Texas region board member. “And as employee-owners and Sundt Foundation contributors, we’re excited to support some great nonprofits for our fourth-quarter grant recipients.”
Recipients of fourth-quarter grants include:
JBW BBQ, which received $1,608, provides meals to various nonprofits, first responders and military personnel. Located in Wichita Falls, the volunteer group is comprised of 12 men and women.
Tarrant County Homeless Coalition received a grant of $1,608 to support the community’s homeless helpline. The helpline serves families and individuals when they are at risk of homelessness or have recently become homeless and need access to resources. Nearly 1,000 people in crisis were served by the helpline last year.
The YMCA of Metropolitan Forth Worth received $1,608 to support at-risk youth mentoring where adults provide one-on-one and group support for children in Fort Worth.
The Sundt Foundation awards grants quarterly to area charities that support disadvantaged children and families. Nonprofits are selected through an application process and reviewed by a committee of Sundt employee-owners.
