Sundt Foundation Donates to Three Local Sacramento Charities

SACRAMENTO, Calif. (May 28, 2019) – The Sundt Foundation awarded a total of $8,500 in grants to three northern California-area nonprofits during its second-quarter disbursements. Sacramento Q2 Donation 2019

“Sundt in Sacramento is extremely grateful to all the employee-owners who make these grants possible,” said Madison Jones, Sundt Foundation’s Northern California board member.  “One organization we funded this quarter uses equine therapy to help children with different neurological disabilities build physical and mental strength. We can’t wait to visit and see how our grant made a positive impact.”

The Sundt Foundation awards grants quarterly to area charities that support disadvantaged children and families. Nonprofits are selected through an application process and reviewed by a committee of Sundt employee-owners.

Second-quarter grants include:

Good Sense Dogs, which received $2,500, believes in the connection between pets and people. In order to help the community, they educate people and train dogs.

Ride to Walk received $3,500 to support the current 51 children in the program. The program includes providing innovative horseback riding activities that are recreational in nature and adapted to the needs of the children with neurological disabilities.

The Fit Kids Foundation received $2,500 to support their Fit Kid program, which delivers a unique combination of skill-building and team-based activities and games. It is available at no cost, to schools and nonprofits which serve low-income communities.
