 |  Press Release

FORT WORTH, Texas (June 5, 2019) – The Sundt Foundation awarded a total of $5,200 in grants to four local nonprofits during its second-quarter disbursements. North Texas Q2 2019

“It’s an honor to be a part of the Sundt Foundation and give back to the community where we live and work, through The Kitchen – Meals on Wheels of Wichita Falls,” said Joel Holcomb, Sundt Foundation’s North Texas region committee member. “They have four amazing programs: the Red Door, the Green Door, Meals on Wheels, and Kid’s Café, which provide nutritious meals and complementary services to the people of Wichita Falls.”

Grants of $1,300 were equally divided between these organizations:

Corsicana Education Foundation enriches, maintains and expands programs and projects needed to meet the Corsicana ISD’s stated mission of excellence in education through generating and distributing resources to the district’s staff and students.

The Drive Nation Foundation will use the grant to provide scholarships for low-income youth for Drive Nation’s 10-week full-time summer day camp.

The Kitchen – Meals on Wheels of Wichita Falls provides meals to those who cannot afford to buy food. The organization delivers seven meals a week to those in need and does a wellness check on the clients they serve.

Zoie’s Place will use funds to purchase computers for their transitional home. The organization is dedicated to helping young adults aging out of foster care achieve self-sufficiency.

The Sundt Foundation awards grants quarterly to area charities that support disadvantaged children and families. Nonprofits are selected through an application process and reviewed by a committee of Sundt employee-owners.
