Sundt Foundation Donates $12,000 to San Antonio Charities

SAN ANTONIO (June 4, 2019) – The Sundt Foundation awarded a total of $12,000 in grants to four Bexar County-area nonprofits during its second-quarter disbursements. San Antonio Q2 2019

“The Sundt Foundation is proud of supporting the children, like at Communities in School,” said Terri Pasley, the Sundt Foundation’s San Antonio region board member. “Children face too many obstacles in their journeys to be adults. Our support helps youth-focused community resources organizations reach more children.”

The Sundt Foundation awards grants quarterly to area charities that support disadvantaged children and families. Nonprofits are selected through an application process and reviewed by a committee of Sundt employee-owners.

Second-quarter grants of $3,000 were equally divided between the organizations:

Awaaz collaborates across local domestic violence agencies and helps them understand specific cultural nuances to work with the under-served population.

Communities in Schools South Central Texas’s mission is to surround students with a population of support, empowering them to stay in school and achieve in life. Site coordinators inside schools deliver targeted integrated student support services to eliminate the barriers to learning and education success.

San Antonio Public Library Foundation will use the grant to create a Veteran’s Resource Center at the Central Library in downtown San Antonio.

The Arc of San Antonio seeks to assist each person to move closer to their individual goals so that they can live to their fullest potential. The grant will support their adult life enrichment program, which focuses on enhancing quality of life through various activities.
