FORT CAMPBELL, Ky. (March 17, 2014) – Sundt Construction, Inc. was selected by the Army Corps of Engineers, Louisville District to construct a new Unaccompanied Enlisted Personnel Housing (UEPH) barracks at the Fort Campbell installation in Kentucky.

The $25.7 million design-build project will provide Fort Campbell’s soldiers with more than 110,000 square feet of modern housing, featuring apartment-style units with two bedrooms and one bathroom each. Upon completion, the three-story complex will accommodate 296 unaccompanied enlisted personnel.

The new barracks project is Sundt’s second UEPH complex at Fort Campbell in the last 18 months. The general contractor completed its first project at the installation in January. Delivering the first project both on time and within budget, Sundt earned a coveted position among the Corps of Engineers’ general contractors of choice.

Sundt’s additional work in the military sector includes construction of Warrior in Transition barracks at Fort Hood, Texas; UEPH barracks at Fort Polk, La.; combat aviation brigade hot refuel facility at Fort Bliss, Texas; and a flight simulator facility at Marine Corps Air Station in Yuma, Ariz.

Fort Campbell, located on the Tennessee-Kentucky state line, is a 106,700-acre U.S. Army installation that is the home of the world’s only air assault division, the 101st Airborne Division.
