SACRAMENTO, Calif. (Feb. 27, 2013) – Sundt Construction, Inc. recently completed the Carlton Plaza Elk Grove senior living facility. The $14.7 million community features 100 independent and assisted living apartments, as well as a separate and secure dementia care wing. The 110,000-square-foot, two-story facility offers residents a variety of amenities and conveniences, including a large dining area, private dining, a beauty salon, general store, billiards room and media room. The Carlton Plaza Elk Grove community’s dementia care wing has a private courtyard and can house and assist 36 seniors in need of specialized memory care.

As the construction manager at risk, Sundt and architect LPAS Architecture + Design began the project in November 2011 and completed it by the end of 2012.

“This is the fifth Carlton project Sundt has built since 1996, having worked on other Carlton facilities in Sacramento, San Jose and San Leandro,” said Sundt Vice President Teri Jones. “We have a terrific working relationship with Carlton Senior Living and already are moving ahead on our next project, Carlton Plaza Davis.” Sundt and LPAS Architecture + Design are paired again on the Davis facility. The new $16 million assisted living facility, which also includes a memory care wing, is three stories and 104,000 square feet. It is scheduled for completion in April 2014.
