Sundt Earns Military Friendly Employer Designation

Military Friendly logoSundt has long hired military veterans and reservists at all levels of the organization. That commitment earned us a Top 10 Military Friendly Employer designation in our category by Victory Media, publisher of G.I. Jobs and Military Spouse magazines.

The publication placed us fifth among companies with $500 million to $1 billion in revenue. This marks the second consecutive year we have been recognized by the organization, which announced its military friendly winners last week.

“We’re honored to be recognized again as a military-friendly employer and look forward to continuing our efforts of building a strong partnership with our military and veteran communities,” said Sundt Director of Administrative Workforce Development Trevor Gelder.

Sundt competed for the designation by completing a survey driven by data independently tested by Ernst & Young based on weightings and methodology established by Victory Media and its advisory board. Criteria for the survey included a benchmark score across key programs and policies, including the strength of company military recruiting efforts, percentage of new hires with military service, retention programs for veterans and company policies on National Guard and Reserve service.

We have consistently demonstrated our commitment to hiring military talent by working to expand our active-duty, military spouse and veteran employee roster each year. We stay connected with the armed forces community through recruitment and training organizations via our website and social media platforms.

Now in its 14th year, Military Friendly Employers is the premier resource for transitioning service members and spouses seeking civilian employment. Each year, companies taking the survey are held to a higher standard than the previous year via improved methodology, criteria and weightings developed with the assistance of an advisory board consisting of leaders in the higher education and military recruitment community.

We are featured in the December issue of G.I. Jobs magazine and the January 2017 issue of Military Spouse Magazine, as well as on militaryfriendly.com.
