Sundt’s recent expansion project at Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport included a new curbside check-in area.

Sundt‘s recent expansion of the existing terminal at Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport is helping the facility accommodate its 1.4 million annual passengers with greater ease. The $10.5 million, airport construction project included creating two new gates, a new arrival lobby, added rental car counters, expanded baggage claim area, relocated security checkpoint, new curbside arrival area, restroom remodels, and more – all while the airport was in use.

“You really have to be able to trust your contractor with a job like this,” said Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport’s Public Information Officer Brian Sexton. “They have to be able to maintain the passenger experience while at the same time respecting our security requirements. There’s no place in an airport with stricter security measures than the terminal. Sundt was great; they really knocked it out of the park.”
