Sundt Employees Let Their Hair Down for “Movember”

Sundt Field Superintendent Brian Smith gets his mustache on for Movember.

For all you men out there who tire of the morning shave routine (and wouldn’t mind looking like Magnum, P.I. now and then) November is your month.  Actually, it’s Movember, so named because of the combination of the words “mustache” and “November” – a month-long, socially acceptable excuse to grow some wild facial hair in support of men’s health. Movember is a worldwide event that raises money and awareness for prostate cancer and testicular cancer in addition to other health issues that affect men.

Never one to be left out of a mustache-growing charity event, Sundt has decided to officially get in on the fun this year. So far we have sixteen wild and wooly participants (aka “Mo Bros”) who together have raised almost $1,000. The Sundt Foundation will throw in an additional $50 for each Sundt Construction Team participant or supporter. Female employees are getting involved through fundraising support, promotion and all around ridicule. What’s not to love!?
