"My eight-year career at Sundt has been a fast-paced journey full of ongoing new projects. I love the work that I do, since I get to help people by resolving and mitigating potential problems related to employee-labor relations, through diversity management, and by continuously building partnerships with outside agencies and associations. In addition to being Compliance/Diversity Representative, I am also the Small Business Liaison Officer (SBLO) for our company. The SBLO role is primarily focused on leading and monitoring corporate, federal, state, and local requirements and to ensure that Sundt maximizes contracting opportunities to qualified small and minority businesses. Sundt is a company that truly believes in 'creating a professional services culture', which is part of our Corporate Strategic Plan."

Our Phoenix Office successfully completed an Office of Federal Contract Compliance (OFCCP) audit where we received a “No Violations” letter from this agency.
Sundt’s Minority Business Committee and IT Department worked together to successfully implement an automated Sundt 294 Reporting system, which reduced reporting time from approximately 1,000 hours to less than 100 hours per year. This system has helped improve accuracy, consistency and convenience through web application.
We rolled out the online and voice-activated Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) training for our employees, which is a required course for employees who might have access to any type of confidential health information, based on their job responsibilities.
We initiated (or implemented) Sundt’s internal Small-Minority Business 101 Course, which provides basic knowledge about the requirements under the Small Business Administration (SBA) and all state and local agencies. Sundt is a federal contractor and this training is focused on our requirements and helps our company be proactive through training, education, and outreach.
I am working with the Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT) and our payroll department on finalizing an upcoming rollout of the automated certified payroll system LCP Tracker, which is a program that was selected and is required by contractors working with ADOT.
