This partnership, continued through World War II at Los Alamos, New Mexico, and was followed by numerous Department of Defense projects during the Cold War with projects such as the first launch facilities for the Titan II ICBM. When our country's space program was in its infancy, Sundt and a joint-venture partner built Launch Pad 39-A at Cape Canaveral, which is still in use today. Since the 1980s Sundt has been enhancing our service personnel's quality of life by designing and building military family housing, and Sundt was on the team when our country needed to rebuild its embassy in Moscow because of security concerns.

Since then, Sundt has completed a variety of projects to expand and upgrade facilities at military installations across the United States and in several foreign countries.

Today, Sundt’s federal projects focus heavily on Anti- Terrorism/Force Protection measures and often include Sustainable Design Features, such as the use of recycled materials, energy efficient equipment and engineering that ensure durability and low maintenance costs.

Sundt understands the complexities of today’s federal projects, urgent schedule requirements that often must be met to achieve National Security Objectives and the importance of Partnering to secure the goals of all team members, as well as the importance of utilizing small business in our projects.
