Concrete Division: Sundt can self-perform work for foundations, structural, tilt panel, flatwork, and finish concrete, ensuring quality, cost and schedule control.

Federal Division: Our depth of experience with federal projects means Sundt understands all the complexities and intricacies of working with the federal government.

Heavy Civil Division: Innovation is the key for infrastructure projects like highways, streets, bridges, underground utilities and drainage facilities.

Mining & Industrial Division: From water and wastewater infrastructure to mining infrastructure, process systems and power plants, we can solve the most complex construction challenges.

Planing Mill - Early home of M.M. Sundt, Contractor and Builder, Las Vegas, New Mexico 1900
Agua Pura Dam - Completed for $21,843, it still serves residents of northern New Mexico. 1943
First Methodist Church - Sundt’s first project in Tucson, Arizona 1929
U of A Chemistry-Physics Building - One of the company’s six depression-era projects at the University of Arizona 1936
Los Alamos, New Mexico - World War II home of the Manhattan Project, where the atomic bomb was developed 1943
Titan II Missile Launch Facility - Sundt built the first Titan II missile launch facilities at Vandenberg AFB 1962
Kitt Peak Observatory - Construction of a Telescope building in Southern Arizona, 105-feet in diameter, that houses a 158-Inch Mayall Telescope 1968
London Bridge - Historic  bridge in Great Britain that was dismantled stone by stone, shipped to the U.S., and reassembled in Lake Havasu City, Arizona 1971
Arizona Biltmore Hotel, Paradise Wing Addition - Expansion of this world famous hotel in Phoenix that has a Frank Lloyd Wright-inspired design 1975
Reunion Theme Tower - Slipformed structural concrete project for a 50-story, 562 ft theme tower that is a prominent feature in the Dallas skyline 1978
Loews Ventana Canyon Resort Hotel - Award winning 400,000-square-foot, 398-room luxury resort completed in Tucson in 1984
ARAMCO Housing, Saudi Arabia - Sundt built $750 million worth of projects for the Arabian-American Oil Company  1985
Slipformed Core, IBM Tower in Atlanta - Slipform building core, 725 feet above street level, performed by Sundt’s Concrete Division 1986
Fort Drum Military Family Housing - Design-build project to construct 1,150 one- and two-story military family housing units in upstate New York 1990
Salt Lake City Runway - Construction of an 11,000-foot-long runway, two parallel taxiways, ten high-speed taxiways, signage, and an airfield lighting system 1996
Los Alamos Flood Control Structure - Construction of a 390-foot-wide, 66-foot-high, 93-foot-thick, concrete flood control structure to protect a nuclear research reactor from flooding 2000
Westin Kierland Resort - Multi-story 750,000-square-foot, 700-room hotel in Scottsdale, Arizona with 32 suites in four separate casita buildings.    2002
U.S. 60 Expansion - Design-build project to widen 13 miles of Phoenix-area freeway, which included widening 12 bridges and adding carpool and merge lanes 2003
SeaWorld Journey to Atlantis - A water coaster ride themed as the Lost City of Atlantis in San Diego that includes a 130,000-gallon dolphin tank. 2004

  • San Ysidro High School was the first Design Build Project completed in June 2008 for the Sweet Water Union High School District.
  • San Diego Community College District awarded 3 buildings on their Mira Mar Campus, 2 of which start construction next month and the third has just begun pre-construction with construction starting in August of this year.
