Benefits beyond the paycheck.

Benefits At Sundt, our employee-centered culture is evident in our competitive salaries, safe working conditions and comprehensive benefits package.

We offer extensive retirement benefits and continuing education plus health and welfare benefits.

Health and Welfare Benefits

Here are some of the major benefit plans included in our total compensation package:

Health Care/Vision/Prescription Benefits: Since 1981, Sundt has maintained a self-insured employee welfare benefit plan to provide medical benefits to its employees; one plan is offered at no monthly premium cost for employees and their dependents. It offers a great Preferred Provider Organization (PPO) network, which allows for additional cost savings on medical claims, vision coverage, and prescription coverage. Mail order generic maintenance prescriptions are free under the plan.

We value our employees and are dedicated to providing ways to maintain their health and wellness. Participants in our health plan are eligible to participate in the following benefits:

  • Employee Assistance Program (EAP): Confidential counseling and referral service is available to employees and their dependents at no cost, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

  • Bona Fide Wellness Program: Employees and their spouse/domestic partners can get up to a $300 credit each toward healthcare expenses for joining a gym, an exercise class, or a weight loss program.

  • Life Health Assessment: Employees and their spouses/domestic partners can get $100 off of each deductible by taking a completely confidential life health assessment. This assessment identifies and outlines areas to improve to live a healthier life.

  • Nurseline: This benefit connects employees to licensed nurses 24 hours a day, seven days a week for non-emergency issues.

  • Preventive Care: Based on guidelines by the American Medical Association, preventative, non-diagnostic care with no deductible and no annual limit. Most use the allocated funds for items like flu shots, physicals, yearly well-woman and well-man exams.

Life Insurance and Disability Benefits

In addition to the health and welfare benefits, Sundt also offers employees:

Life Insurance Benefits: Employees are provided basic life insurance and accidental death and dismemberment insurance.

Long Term Disability Insurance: Employees receive long term disability insurance that pays to a disabled employee, 60% of their gross annual salary prior to a disability.

Short Term Disability Insurance: Employees are provided short-term disability insurance, which is a salary continuation program that pays a portion of an employee's pay while off work due to disability. This insurance takes place prior to long-term disability insurance.

Additional Benefits

Part of what makes the Sundt compensation and benefits package so competitive is just how comprehensive it is. Further benefits offered to our employees include:

Paid Time Off (PTO) Program: This program includes time for vacation, sick leave and personal days. The number of days given to employees is based on years of service with the company.

Holiday Pay: Separate from PTO, Sundt offers paid time off for a set list of company observed holidays.

Employee Discount Program: Due to various partnerships Sundt has formed, our employees have access to many discount programs (e.g. computer purchases, cell phone purchases, entertainment/shopping/gift programs, banking service, etc.).
