While much of our training is provided in instructor-led classes and workshops,
online classes and on-the-job learning are also provided to make training more convenient
and meaningful for employees. Sundt also offers a number of job-specific Academies
for Project Engineers, Superintendents, Estimators, Project Managers, Projects Administrators,
and Safety Personnel to keep up with changes in the industry, learn new skills,
and develop individually. In addition to this, Sundt offers leadership and development
programs called START and LEAP for select employees in different stages of career

for employees who wish to further their education and attend offsite training and/or
college or university classes.

We place an importance on learning and expect our employees to actively seek new
opportunities and apply new knowledge and skills in their work each day. Part of
this career development process is a semi-annual Individual Development Plan (IDP).
This plan is designed to help employees and their supervisors identify performance
goals, career interests and aspirations along with specific training and development
needs and goals. We also continue to promote the importance of certification of
our employees with several key industry groups, particularly the Design-Build Institute
of America (DBIA), the Constructor Certification Commission, which has the Certified
Professional Constructor (CPC) program, and the United States Green Building Council,
which accredits construction professionals through its Leadership in Energy and
Environmental Design (LEED) program. Today, we have 19 employees certified with
DBIA, 37 have earned CPC certification, and more than 100 are LEED accredited.
