Phoenix

Sundt Construction's Headquarters are located in the east valley of the Phoenix metropolitan area within city limits of Tempe. The company has been building projects in the greater Phoenix metro since the 1960s. Among its landmark projects are the Tempe Municipal Building, the west wing of the Arizona State Capitol, the Paradise Wing addition to the Arizona Biltmore Hotel and Reach Four of the Arizona Canal Diversion Channel. More recent notable projects include major portions of the Valley Metro Rail system, Dial Corporate Headquarters, several buildings for the University of Phoenix, the Butler Water Reclamation Facility and two buildings of the Biodesign Institute at Arizona State University, one of which was the first certified LEED Platinum building in Arizona.

With a population of 4 million people, Phoenix is the largest city in Arizona. Residents and visitors enjoy 300 days of sunshine, abundant hiking and biking trails and scores of golf courses. The Phoenix area is home to several museums, the Phoenix Symphony, Phoenix Suns, Arizona Diamondbacks, Arizona Cardinals, Phoenix Coyotes, and Phoenix Mercury. The Grand Canyon, Sedona and the Hoover Dam are short day-trips away.

Tucson

Sundt came to Tucson from New Mexico in 1929, and continues to be one of the city's principal construction companies. Sundt built more than 60 projects for the University of Arizona, dozens of projects at Davis Monthan Air Force Base, and landmark projects such as Kitt Peak Observatory, Loews Ventana Canyon Resort, the iconic copper-colored Unisource Tower downtown and more recent projects such as widening a six-mile section of Interstate-10 that passes through Tucson (with a joint venture partner), Fire Central and the Marana Armed Forces Readiness Center.

The city is affectionately dubbed the Old Pueblo. Vast deserts, green canyons and majestic mountain ranges form an impressive backdrop, and the close proximity to the Mexican border is evident in the architecture, cuisine, fiestas and festivals. Visitors can take in attractions such as the Titan Missile Museum, Biosphere 2, Reid Park Zoo, Kitt Peak Observatory and several national parks. Tucson is the 32nd largest city in the U.S. It was also recently named one of the top 10 cities for college graduates by Livability.com.
